I am Rona Yoko Tangalin. I am 34 years old, a single mother to my 6 year old son and a loving daughter who is taking care of my sick father at the same time. Being a mom is a lot of work. Whether you work outside the home or are a stay-at-home mom, it's a full-time job. On top of that, all of life's responsibilities, errands and general to-do items can be overwhelming.
As a single mother, I needed to find a way to put food on the table, a roof over our heads, and still find time to spend time with my son and take care of my sick father. I basically had no idea how on earth am I going to make this situation work financially. Lord knows I really wanted to be a stay-at-home mom to take care of my family, but the reality was that I need to work.
And then a friend told me about home based online jobs and how to be a Freelancer Virtual Assistant. I was hesitant at first, I have fears and i lost my confidence in myself. I didn’t know when where and how to start but I prayed so hard that I will find someone or something that can be my best foundation to start a Freelancing career. I kept asking and praying God for the answer when i came across a Facebook Page of Coach Julmar Grace Locsin which is the owner and co-founder of FVA Filipino Virtual Assistance Academy. I enrolled in the Academy and as of now, I am still refining my skills. And I’m very positive that this will be the beginning of the biggest change in my life.
